heehee...just got back from vivocity...another day of xmas shopping...this time round is to get pressies for dad and my bro - thumbdrive and game resepectively...
i initially thought i wouldn't bump into anyone i know since it is so crowded..but as i stepped into vivocity, i saw marie & jason and serene & her BF..what a small world...didn't catch up with them cos it was so crowded, we were all like being herded to walk in a particular direction..so i just dropped marie a sms to say that i saw her and wished her merry xmas in advance :)
getting the presents was our top priority...we hurried into challenger to hunt for the stuff and managed to buy a 4GB thumbdrive for "dad" and the game that my bro want.."mum" was staring at the HD TVs all the time checking out on the prices and all since the old one is spoilt..
having gotten the presents, we headed to
marche for lunch...my first time stepping in vivocity's marche...the decoration inside is very nice...so cozy..we ordered a
mix fruit crepe,
rosti with cheese sausage and a plate of mixed vegetables to share...the first two is
highly recommended by me....the crepe was filled with mango, apple, oats and alot of other stuff..together with chocolate sauce, totally heavenly...for the other dish, would say that rosti has always been a favourite of mine and the cheese sausage was superbly good..heehee..was so eager to eat that i forgot to take pictures of the food...nevertheless here are some pics taken inside marche:
after lunch, we shopped around for clothes..didnt see anything i like so i went into the bookstore to browse throught the magazines they have.."dad" came and join us at around 5 plus and went to take a look at HD TVs....after comparing prices and all, "dad" bought this samsung 40" TV that was priced below $2k...after settling the payment, the hard part was to fill up the stack of lucky draw coupons...think there was like 35 slips of coupons to be filled...gosh..
time seems to past faster when one is shopping..by the time all was settled, it was dinner time..so i recommended that we dine at terra cafe...it's a cafe whereby i think they serve rather reasonably priced meals...a set meal = soup+main course+ice cream...the cafe serves a wide variety of main courses from western food such as fish & chips and baked rice to thai dishes such as tom yum noodles and fried spicy noodles...they also serve drinks such as watermelon crunch and iced mocha..so if u're at vivocity and don't know what to have for lunch/dinner, this is a place to consider :)
after dinner, we went to the open space at the top of vivocity to enjoy the breeze and the scenery.
what's xmas w/o xmas tree...heehee...
